Radha Mitchell is an Australian actress born in 1973 and has starred in two major horror releases. The first of course being Silent Hill, a great horror movie based on a classic console game.
The basic plot follows Radha’s character Rose on her search for her missing daughter who has been experiencing some awful night terrors. The story takes her to the apparently deserted town of Silent Hill but of course this is no the case, the town holds nightmares beyond your wildest fears. The general plot could perhaps have followed the story to the original game a bit closer but all in all it comes up as a good film. It has the perfect mix of creepy and in your face horror to keep you on the edge of your seat. The follow up to Silent Hill is currently in production with Radha once again the star and we will be very interested to see how this one pans out.
The other notable Horror movie that Radha has starred in is the 2010 remake of George A Romero’s The Crazies. The film takes place in the fictional town of Ogden Marsh, Pierce County, Iowa, “friendliest place on Earth,” whose town water supply is accidentally infected with the “Trixie” virus. After an incubation period of 48 hours, this virus gradually transforms the mental state of the infected into that of cold, calculating, depraved, bloodthirsty killers, who then prey on family and neighbors alike. This movie is certainly worth a look but if you are a major horror fan we strongly recommend that you watch Romero’s classic 1973 version first, although starring the lovely Radha you may as well give this a couple of hours of your time.
