As a massive fan of the Alien franchise this is a great character for me to highlight, Ripley just seemed to be the woman that refused to die. Of course played by Sigourney Weaver she was an extremely strong character and Sigourney had great ability to portray this. In the first movie the Alien was new, unseen, terrifying and Ripley watched her entire crew killed around her but she never gave up and was the only survivor, well except for the cat. In the Second movie she was back again, this time with some marines who were packing some extremely heavy weapons and once again she survived, the others were not so lucky as this time the Alien had friends. The third movie was not as good but this time she found herself on a prison planet full of male inmates, could have been any girls dream, pick of the bunch and all that but the Aliens found it and all hell broke loose. With no weapons but fast feet Ripley devised a plan and kicked the Aliens butt again. Now normally you would think, great trilogy but no the Aliens wanted one more shot so bring on Alien Resurrection, Ripley was back but this time amalgamated with Alien DNA, surely the Aliens would have no chance, that is until of course Ripley gifted them a hybrid humanoid alien, what happened? Well my advice would be for you to go out and watch this epic horror/sci fi movie and watch this strong female character kick some Alien ass!
